Kazakhstan has added six newly discovered oil fields with total reserves exceeding 127 million tons to its national balance sheet in 2025, Deputy Energy Minister Yerlan Akbarov announced on the sidelines of the Mazhilis.
According to the official, the newly identified fields are primarily located in the western regions, including the Mangystau Region and the Atyrau Region.
Akbarov noted that Kazakhstan currently has 15 sedimentary basins, of which five are under active production, while geological exploration continues across the remaining areas.
