Japan and Kazakhstan Discuss Resumption of Air Travel

Chair of the Civil Aviation Committee Saltanat Tompiyeva and Ambassador of Japan to Kazakhstan Yamada Jun met on February 29 to discuss the potential resumption of air travel between the two countries. The aim is to promote economic, business, and cultural exchanges, according to the committee's press service.

Saltanat Tompieva expressed that Kazakh airlines are actively considering the possibility of establishing direct flight routes between the two countries by the first half of 2025. This initiative underscores Kazakhstan's dedication to strengthening its relationship with Japan and improving travel accessibility for citizens and visitors.
