Italy Tops Kazakhstan’s Export Destinations in First Half of 2024

In January-June, Italy took the lead in the structure of Kazakhstan’s exports. Kazakhstan exported goods worth $9 billion to Italy, accounting for 23.6% of total exports.

Kazinform reported on August 15, citing the Bureau of National Statistics, that Italy led Kazakhstan's export destinations in the first half of 2024, with exports reaching $10 billion, a $2 billion increase from the previous year.

China is the second-largest destination, holding an 18.6% share of exports, valued at $7.3 billion, and also ranks second in imports to Kazakhstan, contributing 24.5% or $6.7 billion. Russia follows with 10.9% of Kazakhstan’s exports worth $4.2 billion, while it remains the largest source of imports at $7.9 billion, or 28.6% of total imports.

Other significant exporters to Kazakhstan include France (5.5%), Türkiye (3.9%), Greece (3.6%), Romania (2.5%), South Korea (2.4%), and the United States (2.3%).(Source:astanatimes)
