The Kazakhstan Investment Day 2025 forum, held on April 3 in Frankfurt am Main, underscored growing German interest in expanding business cooperation with Kazakhstan, according to the Prime Minister’s press service.
Led by First Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar, the Kazakh delegation held talks with Manfred Pentz, Hesse’s Minister for International Cooperation. Pentz announced plans for an upcoming economic mission to Kazakhstan aimed at identifying specific investment opportunities.
The forum highlighted Hesse’s strategic role as a transport and financial hub—home to major institutions such as Deutsche Bank, Commerzbank, KfW, and the Frankfurt Stock Exchange—and its potential to connect Kazakh projects with German investors.
With a GDP of €370 billion in 2024, Hesse is one of Germany’s most economically advanced federal states, contributing nearly 9% to the national economy.
