Eastar Jet Opens Almaty–Incheon Route as Kazakhstan–South Korea
South Korea’s Eastar Jet launched a direct flight between Incheon and Almaty on April 7, operating twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays, according to Kazakh Tourism.
This move reflects growing tourism ties between the two countries. In 2024, B2B meetings between Kazakh and South Korean tour operators were held, and a familiarization tour of Almaty and the surrounding region is planned.
More Routes Strengthening Connectivity SCAT Airlines will open:
- ✈ Shymkent – Seoul (from May 29)
- ✈ Shymkent – Cairo, Munich, Xi’an, Budapest – coming soon
Air Astana recently launched:
- ✈ Nha Trang & Guangzhou (in March)
- Will resume Mumbai flights this April
- Will launch:
- ✈ Atyrau – Tbilisi (May)
- ✈ Almaty – Frankfurt & Da Nang (June)
These developments support Kazakhstan’s broader strategy to boost tourism, regional cooperation, and air mobility with East Asia.
