The Central State Museum of Kazakhstan in Almaty has opened an exhibition featuring over 140 collectible dolls created by 21 artists from Almaty, Astana, Ridder, and Zharkent. The exhibition, titled "From East to West," is organized by the Art Dolls Collection_KZ creative association and will run until April 3.
Timed to coincide with Nauryz, the exhibition highlights the craftsmanship of Kazakhstani doll artists, showcasing works that blend cultural heritage with contemporary artistry.
The event has drawn artists, collectors, gallery owners, and business representatives, emphasizing Kazakhstan’s growing doll-making scene and its place in the global art community.
Visitors can explore a diverse range of handcrafted dolls, each reflecting unique regional influences and artistic styles.
