Beijing Hosts Meeting of SCO Council of National Coordinators
The Council of National Coordinators of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) convened a meeting on February 1, chaired by Kazakhstan, in Beijing, as reported by the press service of the Foreign Ministry.
During the meeting, participants emphasized the importance of forging joint decisions to enhance collaboration in political and security matters, trade and economics, as well as cultural and humanitarian affairs.
Murat Mukushev, the National Coordinator of Kazakhstan, outlined the key SCO events scheduled for the year.
Kazakhstan advocated for the ongoing coordination of documents pertaining to the SCO's strategic development and put forth proposals to address current regional and international challenges. Attendees reviewed drafts of the SCO development strategy up to 2035 and the SCO Initiative on World Unity for a Just Peace and Harmony.(Source:astanatimes)
The national coordinators also reviewed suggestions aimed at enhancing SCO activities, strengthening the regulatory framework, and expanding SCO cooperation with other international and regional organizations.
