Astana Hub, Kazakhstan’s key international technology park, has become a vital engine of the country’s IT sector, with total revenues skyrocketing to 1.2 trillion tenge (US$2.3 billion) — a 31-fold increase in just five years. The park hosts over 1,500 participants, including 1,102 local and 437 foreign companies.
In 2024, export revenue from IT services surpassed 140 billion tenge (US$268 million), while the average monthly salary in the sector grew by 54%, reaching 673,000 tenge (US$1,289). The Tech Orda initiative has been pivotal in training over 16,000 IT professionals, contributing to Kazakhstan’s goal of educating 20,000 IT specialists by 2025.
Kazakhstan’s progress in digitalization is reflected in its high global ranking, placing 24th among 193 countries in the UN’s online services index. Currently, 92% of the population has access to government services online. The country’s IT business landscape has expanded by 16% over the last three years, totaling 18,683 companies in 2024.
