Astana will host the Global Cleantech Innovation Program (GCIP) 2024 National Forum on Dec. 12, highlighting ecological and sustainable innovation. The event marks the finale of the GCIP Kazakhstan 2024 acceleration program, showcasing the best green startups after months of mentorship and training.
Key projects include solutions for water purification using chlorella microorganisms, waste aggregation, recycling computer waste for rare earth metals, textile and drug recycling, bioplastics development, and producing concrete from oil waste.
The top five startups will receive cash grants and advance to the global final in Istanbul. The event will feature Kazakh Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Yerlan Nyssanbayev.
