Astana has ascended 25 positions in StartupBlink's Global Ecosystem Index
The Kazakh capital has advanced by 25 positions in the Global Ecosystem Index, securing the 318th spot out of 1,000 cities listed in the latest 2023 report from StartupBlink, a global startup ecosystem mapping and research center.
StartupBlink focuses on uncovering insights into trends that impact the global startup ecosystem, providing detailed startup ecosystem dashboards for over 1,000 cities and 100 countries worldwide.
As per the latest report, Astana has secured the top position in the national ranking, placing Kazakhstan at the forefront among Central Asian nations.
In an online ceremony on January 9, Astana was honored with the Best Startup Ecosystem in Central Asia award at the Startup Ecosystem Awards 2023. This notable success is attributed to the Astana Hub International Technopark of IT startups, which has cultivated "an environment conducive to innovation and startup growth."
Mahmod Shamsi, Head of Business Development at StartupBlink, remarked, "This achievement highlights Kazakhstan’s growing influence and leadership in the Central Asian startup scene."
The Startup Ecosystem Awards acknowledges the accomplishments of startup ecosystems based on StartupBlink’s algorithm, which considers over 40 parameters in its evaluation methodology.
Bagdat Mussin, the Kazakh Minister of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry, commented, "This recognition is not only a high appreciation of our achievements but also an opportunity to attract global investors.
