Astana Hub Technopark has officially launched AlemLLM, the largest domestically developed language model for the Kazakh language, making it publicly available for use, announced Minister of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry Zhaslan Madiyev on August 7.
This advanced model is now accessible to a broad spectrum of users, including startups, academic institutions, corporations, and international platforms, enabling the development, testing, and integration of innovative products and services in the Kazakh language. The open availability of AlemLLM aims to foster technological advancement and digital transformation across multiple sectors.
Moreover, plans are underway to incorporate AlemLLM into governmental digital platforms such as eGov and e-Otinish, enhancing the efficiency and accessibility of public services.
“The open AlemLLM will allow the creation of new products and services in Kazakh, accelerate the implementation of AI in education, healthcare, law, and other areas; strengthen the presence of the Kazakh language in global digital ecosystems,” Madiyev wrote on his Instagram page.
Developed on the YuAI Lightning platform, AlemLLM features over 246 billion parameters, representing a significant milestone in the country’s efforts to promote and support the Kazakh language within the digital economy.
