Air Astana will inaugurate a new Astana–Guangzhou route on June 2, with flights operating twice weekly on Airbus A321LR aircraft.
The new service is expected to enhance trade, economic, business, and tourism ties between Kazakhstan and China, according to the Ministry of Transport’s statement on February 10.
In addition, regular flights on the Almaty–Shanghai route will commence on March 29. As part of broader efforts to expand international connectivity, Kazakhstan plans to launch and resume multiple international air routes in 2026 and increase frequencies on existing destinations.
