Air Astana to Commence Regular Almaty–Shanghai Flights
Air Astana will inaugurate regular passenger flights on the Almaty–Shanghai route beginning March 29, 2026. Flights will operate three times weekly, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.
With the introduction of this service, the total number of weekly flights between Kazakhstan and the People’s Republic of China will increase from 81 to 84, the Civil Aviation Committee reported.
Kazakh authorities anticipate that the launch of the Almaty–Shanghai route will further enhance trade, business, and tourism cooperation between the two countries.
The Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan continues its strategic efforts to expand the country’s international air connectivity and increase flight frequencies on existing routes.
