Air Astana Adjusts Flight Schedule Amid Runway Maintenance at Astana Airport
Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport will temporarily restrict runway operations to conduct scheduled maintenance works, the airport’s press service reported on Aug. 19.
The runway will be closed daily from Sept. 1–4 and Sept. 8–Oct. 31, 2025, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Astana time. From Sept. 5–7, the runway will remain fully operational, with flights operating on a regular schedule.
The temporary closures will affect a number of international destinations, including Frankfurt, Dubai, Seoul, Istanbul, Antalya, Beijing, Phuket, and Nha Trang, as well as domestic flights to Almaty, Atyrau, Aktau, Aktobe, Oral, Kostanai, and Oskemen. Air Astana confirmed that all passengers impacted by schedule changes have been notified via their registered contact details. For travelers who may miss connecting flights, the airline will provide alternative travel arrangements.
According to the airport, the maintenance works form part of a broader aerodrome modernization program designed to enhance flight safety and service quality for airlines and passengers. Travelers are advised to check updated flight information through the airport’s information center.
