In 2023 Germany has invested $770 Million in Kazakhstan

According to a report presented by the Kazakh Invest national company during an April 24 meeting of the Council for Attracting Investments (Investment Headquarters), chaired by Kazakh First Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar, Germany made a record investment of $770 million in Kazakhstan last year, as reported by the Prime Minister’s press service.

The total pool of German projects in Kazakhstan currently comprises 63 projects valued at approximately $54.4 billion. These projects have generated 14,700 jobs, with 32 of them already operational, providing nearly 6,000 permanent positions.

Bilateral trade between the two countries has experienced significant growth, with an increase of 24.7% in 2022 and 41.3% in 2023. Kazakhstan ranks among Germany’s top 50 trading partners and is considered a key ally in Central Asia.

During the meeting, the council examined the Bakhty-Ayagoz railway project in the Abai region, which borders China. This project plays a crucial role in enhancing logistics and fostering a favorable investment climate.

Recognizing the importance of expediting this project, the council designated it as an object of special regulation to streamline parallel design and construction activities.(Source:astanatimes)
