Last year, German direct investment in Kazakhstan grew 64% to a record high of $770 million, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said at a meeting with Chair of the Board of the Eastern Committee of the German Economy Cathrina Claas-Mühlhäuser on May 15, reported Akorda.
President Tokayev underscored Germany's strategic significance as a partner for Kazakhstan within the European Union. He noted positive developments in trade and economic relations, alongside growing interest from German businesses to expand their presence in Kazakhstan.
Highlighting agricultural cooperation, Tokayev proposed establishing a Regional Center for Sustainable Agriculture to maximize Kazakhstan's agricultural potential through innovative technology adoption and commercialization. He praised the contribution of the CLAAS group, chaired by Claas-Mühlhäuser, to Kazakhstan's agricultural development.(Source:astanatimes)
